    “STC” stands for Standard Test Conditions, which is a standard measure for solar panel ratings.

    How It Works
     
    The MST50 uses three photocells to track the sun by comparing sunlight intensity from multiple angles. When one side of the panel sees brighter light than the other, the MST50’s DC motor makes a small rotation to re-center on the brightest spot. After each adjustment, the system waits 60 seconds before checking again, helping prevent frequent, unnecessary repositioning on cloudy or variable days. This sun-tracking method helps the MST50 generate more power over the course of the day than a stationary panel of the same wattage.
